Since the release of the Bold 2 9700 Onyx there has been a numerous amount of returns and exchanges with some of the T-mobile first issues, as with any product first off the line. I have experienced a few of these myself. From my experience as soon as I began to use the first 9700 My trackpad was colapsed and leaning almost unresponsive at times. The Customer service rep I bought the phone from was very understanding and explained this is NOT NORMAL. Keep in mind the trackpad should have play seeming it is a functional button, but nothing to that effect. After the second replacement I began to experience a creaking with the Bezel/faceplate housing. And it was seperating from the screen creating light bleed. Recieved replacement. after the third and fourth LCD screen was cracked and some other issues with software I didnt want to push my luck so Im sticking with my final Bold. Final thought would be, look out for similar things like this but dont go crazy. keep in mind there will always be updates and hadware can be corrected. I LOVE this phone and will stick with it even through the thick and thin. Im actually looking forward to learning more about the tech specs so that I might be able to customize this smartphone to make it more personal. But the 5.0 OS is wonderful and I like the changes they made even with the .330 version. im looking forward to upgrading the OS and cant wait to see what RIM will think of next.

You said it all right there. This is my 2nd 9700 and absolutely love this device. My track pad was very bad and had to send it back. Can not wait for my new one to arrive.

regardless of Carrier Im sure they are willing to work with people. And if your like me who is a Blackberry enthusiast and just couldnt wait to get your hands on the 9700 Bold 2 Onyx™ you may have also Paid full price. this site has alot to offer and I consider myself lucky to have found people who share the same excitement about these smart phones. Always good to see Im not the only one facing these little setbacks. But keep a watchful eye. Alot of the asthetics can be fixed quite easily with the proper knowledge. Just have to know what to look for! (:

i got one too from Tmobile, and am just happy that no issues so far. I ordered it from Europe and Im in South Africa so what an inconvenience it would have been
