You first need to remove the vendor.xml file from your computer. Then click on
the link above or any other software link with Blackberry software and download
it to you computer. After completed, you connect your BlackBerry to the
computer and do the software update through the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. It
will make a backup of your current setup as the first step of the install. I am
on 5.0.0.509 and have been very happy with it on my 8900.

I have 5.0.0.554 installed. just did it 2 days ago. 2 issues i have are 1. the
standby button does not work with this release. it is integrated with the lock
button and then it locks automatically and only if your phone is pw protected
2. for some reason my memopad is missing anyone found any other issues?
